This is my story.

Welcome to my blog! Come, sit beside me on this little swing in my sunny porch, and let’s talk.  Would you like a cup of freshly brewed coffee or a tall glass of iced tea? Time can pass so quickly when we enjoy each other’s company.

I’ll tell you a bit about myself and then you tell me a bit about you. That’s how all stories begin, and I’m eager to set off on this journey with you.

I’m a simple girl living a simple life with a simple philosophy: all that’s really essential in living a full life is faith, family, and a good sense of humor. Do you like to laugh? Good, cos I love to laugh too.  In fact, you will often hear laughter rocking my home, where I live with the most wonderful husband and my five heaven-sent sons. These boys, all six of them , are my treasures in life.

By now you would know that I love stories; have loved them for as long as I can remember. So you’re going to get quite a heaping of that here: stories about life, about loves, about art and creating, about reading and writing, and pretty much anything and everything else (there’s so much to be passionate about!) Speaking of passion, you’re also going to get a lot of references to digital design, digital scrapbooking, and photography here: these are my playtime passions, and I’m crazy about them! And since I love to share my passions, you’ll find me sharing some goodies with you who would have become my fast friends by then.

So thank you for visiting, thank you for sitting a while, and do come back regularly. It’s always good to get together with friends. 🙂

livestories: because everyday is a journey, and every journey is rich with stories. because there is a story inside each one of us, waiting to be told. because our stories tell us who we are. because stories live on even after the ink has faded and the paper has crumbled.

  2. Hi, Liv. Just wanted to tell you that I have nominated you for the “Versatile Blogger” award. If you have received it previously, I apologize for missing it. Didn’t see it posted though, so
hopefully I’m not out of line. You can find the details about the award on either of my sites: Here’s the link to the one I’m writing from: http://hanginoutwithgod.wordpress.com/2012/04/27/versatile-blogger-award/
As with most of the awards, there are so-called “rules” involved in accepting it, mainly letting people know more about you and passing the award on to other bloggers. However, since the rules suggest passing it on to 15 others, I always like to tell people, please don’t feel pressured by that. Pass it on to only those that you feel you know well enough to consider truly versatile and that you have time to contact. I nominated only 5 for now, but I will add more as I get to know more. I also never pass on an award unless I think it fits the blogger, and this award certainly fits you.
So congratulations on the versatility of your blog. Enjoy the honor.

  3. Liv, I am so pleased that you liked my blog. More so pleased that if you hadn’t stopped by, I might never have read yours. About me? Another time, but coffee on a porch swing sounds right up my alley. What a lovely blog. Thank you.

  4. Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for taking the time to view my weekly challenge photos and comment on them. Your site looks delightful — as does you family. But I have to say this — even though you MUST have heard it a few hundred times already: you just do NOT look old enough to be the mother of all those boys!

God bless you and your work! Have a happy day!

  6. Hi Liv

I’ve just finished your and Jessicas Type-Writer class and I really learned a lot. It wasn’t easy – it’s really hard to write about one self…..
And I really have to say I love your way with words. I found your blog and added it to my favorites – looking forward to read your stories and get some inspirations. The best to you and your family

  8. Good morning,

My name is Chris Bui with tiny*prints, http://www.tinyprints.com/ – a provider of elegant personal stationery, including Birth Announcements.

We are interested in innovative marketing solutions and would like to offer our services to your website visitors as a resource link. We believe our sites co-align, but do not compete, and that our offering would be relevant and beneficial for your audience.

We are very interested in being included in the “Shop Till I Drop” section of your website located on the right hand side of your blog, as well as being included in a future blog post reviewing our products. I believe that our Birth Announcements would be a very relevant fit.

Is this something you would be willing to discuss further? Thank you for your time!

  9. Liv,

I was trying to find your e-mail but can’t so here I go.
My daughter sent me an e-mail today that made me think of you. You have such a gift for the written word and I think you feel very deeply and think much about things. What she sent to me was an update on what was happening with “just a housewife and mother of five” that had written poems for years. Her name is Lori McKenna. She sent some of her words to Faith Hill and is now a big {not to her) songwriter, writing for Faith Hill and Sara Evans. I feel you are a true artist, both with conventional art and your word art…the writings you do. With your research skills I know you will check out Lori McKenna. I think you have this same talent of saying and making us all feel what is inside of us. I just wanted to share this with you. I wish you would feel compelled to take this one step further.

I really enjoy the art you spend your time on and share with all of us.
    Thank you.

  10. Oh Liv
What a wonderful blog. I am truly amazed by you. Loved your story on the hump. How true, we can never coast thru life. There are so many humps and hopefully we learn something from all of them. I have been blessed to have met you in the U & R course. You bring so much more to my life. Thank You
